Ironically, it wasn't the Grey Goose but the "Two Buck Chuck" that led to this project. Yet another spirits-induced adventure, "Gettin' the Drop on Ya' " expresses one man's account of the many benefits of maintream pop-stardom, in a comical hippity-hop style, even! We call it "Part One" because we're already working on "Part Two" with.... (wait for it...) a special guesty appearance? (I'm such a tease!)

This episode is brought to by that Entourage TV show on HBO. Not because I watch it, but, well, you'll see.*

I never watch that Entourage TV show. Well, once. By force.

I started this project and before you know it, I found myself inspired by the show I never watch, "Entourage" (starring Jeremy Piven, Kevin Dillon, Debi Mazar, and Kevin Connolly). As a result, this song is dedicated to the hard working behind-the-scenes folks who make- and keep- superstars, well, super! Agents, Artist Management, A&R, (*cough*dealers*cough) you know who you are!

So, Take a 1/5th of what you give me, because I love you Gravy Train!

This episode of The Bushfinger Music Project Garageband Show could easily be entitled "Drunken Studio Games"! The other night I sat at the studio console and only after a few drinks, managed to come up with this quirky tome of lament and sorrow, "The Pain, Part 1".

Never intended to be taken seriously, upon early screenings, the kids seem to like it! (Hence, the "Part One"). I hope you enjoy it!

Perhaps you are wondering why the lack of recent posts, uploads, tracks, podcast episodes, etc? (or not)

No- the rumors of a band breakup- aren't true! We're not being lazy, *nor* trapped under something heavy. Truth be told, there's this pesky little distraction called "trying to meet a Thesis deadline!" (you mean *gasp* college?!?!) Once this is complete, a veritble onslaught of BMP goodness is sure to follow!

Wow! Seventeen Episodes of "New Music Tuesday" and no major record deal yet?! (I'm kidding!)

By now we all know that pretty much every song ever written is/was based on a real life events right? And by "based" i mean, "somewhat related...". It's New Music Tuesday* - Episode Sixteen

Hey Folks- this week's edition of New Music Tuesday features a track consisting entirely of Garageband default loops. i.e., no "jam packs" (man, where the heck did I put that disk!)

A dancey, drum-and-bassy, trancey track, this one reminded me of out space, so I named it "Solar Terrestrial Dispatch", because I thought it would be funny to have a song I could call "S.T.D.".

In the "old days" (like, a year ago before the thesis thing), a song like "Concrete Jungle" would have taken 1/2 a night- yeah 3-4 hours. But instead, it took about a week to envision and slap and edit and mix together. All in the inherently distractive and uncreative confines of my office! Don't get mad if you hear a revised version someday! :bmp:

The other day I said to a colleague,
"Yeah- I wrote a song in the shower this morning. It took about
8 seconds for it to become a song. But it'll never get recorded."

And then the rest of the morning it- the song- was eatin' at me. I couldn’t stop thinking about what a cool song that would be! So what's an addict to do? I take 30-40 minutes of a lunch break and a couple GarageBand tracks and bust out a one-verse song. Sure it sounds a lot like another song, but it's still funny. To me anyway.
